30's DECADE

At the beginning of sonorous cinema, the most representative composers are Max Steiner (“King Kong”, “Gone with the wind”) and Erich Wolfgang Korngold (“The prince and the pauper” or “The adventures of Robin Hood”.

žThere is an importance of the music as sonorous background that accompanies the action and it's used as a leitmotif.

ž

žIt's the Golden Age of musical cinema; the image is dependent of the musical numbers that transfer the spectetors to an irreal world.

žFred Astaire and Ginger Rogers have the leading role in “Top Hat”, "Shall we dance".
